חוּץII m. (b. h.; preced.) 1) that which is divided off, outside, street. Kel. XXVIII, 9 חלוק של יוצאת הח׳ the shirt of the runabout (prostitute; v. Sm. Ant. s. v. Coa Vestis a. Diaphane Heimata; Tosef. Ib. B. Bath. V, 14 יוצאות החוט going out of the line of custom). Zeb.57b: Yoma 57a ח׳ ופנים Ar. (v. Rabb. D. S. a. I note 2, a. Tosaf. to Zeb. l. c.) what is done outside the Temple and what inside. Ḥull.VI, 2 השוחט … בח׳ he who slaughters un-consecrated animals within the Temple court, or consecrated animals without.
